DCX MAX Simulator Approved by Transport Canada for Instrument Renewals



Quebec City, Canada (November 21, 2013) – Precision Flight Controls’ new DCX MAX system has been approved by Transport Canada for Instrument Renewals.  The first system of its kind is deployed at Orizon Aviation in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.  The system was initially approved for instrument renewals for the Piper Seneca V, the Cessna 172, the Pilatus PC-12 and the Beechcraft King Air B200.  Other instrument renewal approvals are pending for additional aircraft.

NASA Glenn Research Center Acquires Modular Flight Deck Simulator



Cleveland, Ohio (December 6, 2013) – The NASA Glenn Research Center has acquired a Precision Flight Controls’ Modular Flight Deck (MFD).  The MFD is a reconfigurable general aviation cockpit simulation system which is capable of simulating over forty different aircraft.  The system is FAA-approved as an Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD) and is equipped with a 3-DOF ProMotion Cueing System.

Choosing the Modular Flight Deck
The MFD system was chosen as a research platform to be used in support of piloted demonstrations and evaluations of NASA-developed enhanced control modes for selected emergency scenarios.  The Modular Flight Deck system provides the necessary versatility and dependability to insure years of trouble-free service in this highly demanding research environment.

Advanced Aviation Training Fiji Purchases DCX MAX ProMotion Simulator



Nadi, Fiji (December 2, 2013) - Advanced Aviation Training Fiji (AATF) has taken delivery of a new DCX MAX ProMotion simulator for their flight training facility located at the Nadi International Airport in Vitu Levu, Fiji.  The DCX MAX is the first full-motion reconfigurable general aviation trainer to be installed in Fiji and subsequently approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji (CAAF).  The system is reconfigurable for forty different flight models including a custom flight model which simulates the school’s Partenavia P68B light twin.

Precision Flight Control’s New DCX, GTX, GT Simulators Meet FAA Approval



Washington D.C. (March 28, 2013) – The FAA has approved three newly developed flight simulation systems produced by Precision Flight Controls, Inc.  The DCX MAX and DCX MAX ProMotion systems represent reconfigurable analog (legacy) aircraft trainers.  The systems are reconfigurable for more than 40 different models of aircraft from a Cessna 152 to a Cessna Citation 550 Jet.  THE GTX MAX and GTX MAX ProMotion are model-specific systems which are reconfigurable as either Cessna 172, 182 or 206 single engine aircraft with G1000 avionics.  The GT Glass Trainer is a desktop G1000 trainer that offers the best combination of fidelity and affordability in the industry.  All were recently subjected to extensive testing and approval by the FAA as Advanced Aviation Training Devices (AATD).
