Precision Flight Controls has recently installed two new state-of-the-art flight simulators at Mission Aviation Fellowship’s Nampa headquarters for training purposes. MAF’s pilots travel around the globe connecting isolated people with vital services and goods while sharing their Christian beliefs. The FAA certified simulators from Precision Flight Controls have 3-axis motion and allow MAF to do turbine training in-house, decreasing cost and dependence on outside companies. Training with these simulators on the Nampa campus will save approximately $12,000 per pilot. According to Dan Whitehead, Vice President of Aviation MAF, the simulators will help them achieve their main goal of being as safe as possible. The simulators will officially start being used for training at MAF’s annual instructor pilot seminar later this month.
